摘要
Results of studies on the properties of epoxy resins from the group of glycidyl esters, prepared from epichlorohydrin and maleopimaric acid (a diene adduct of levopimaric acid and maleic anhydride obtained by heating colophony with maleic anhydride) were presented. Reactivity of these resins with several anhydride curing agents was determined and the thermal, mechanical and electrical properties of cured compositions were studied. Some compositions contained hydrated aluminium oxide as a filler. The systems studied in this work do not contain aromatic rings and they may, therefore, find applications as electroinsulating materials in the same cases, where the hitherto manufactured cycloaliphatic epoxy resins are used. Extensive experimental data are included.
