The results of an experimental investigation of the attainable superheat temperatures of a liquid Ar-Kr solutions at pressures of 1.0 and 1.6 MPa and the rate of nucleation within the range from 104 to 108 m-3&middots-1 are presented. The data obtained are compared with the theory of homogeneous nucleation assuming that the properties of nuclei are independent on their size and with regard for such a dependence within the framework of the Van-der-Waals-Gibbs method. The basic parameters of critical bubbles are determined and it is demonstrated that the interface curvature has a pronounced effect on the kinetics of nucleation in binary mixtures of simple liquids.
