摘要
An accelerator tube or a high-current electron accelerator with a disk insulator is described. The potential distribution along the vacuum surface of the insulator is stipulated by gradient rings which make electrical contact with a resistive voltage divider. The insulator of the tube operates reliably at a voltage-pulse amplitude of up to 650 kV and a pulse length of 60 nsec. The average working electric field intensity along the vacuum surface of the insulator reached 40 kv/cm. The structural inductance of the tube does not exceed 4 multiplied by (times) 10** minus **8 H. Results are given of a numerical calculation of the electric field distribution in the tube.
