The quality function deployment (QFD) aspects of enterprise information technology (IT) architecture are discussed. The deployment of QFD metrics ensures that the new design in an enterprise IT architecture project implements all the functional and nonfunctional requirements. The IT architecture, guided by an organization's principles and standards, develops blueprints for making business and technical decisions. In this regard, an example of QFD usage for an entity that organizes international sporting events is discussed.
