摘要：

The three-phase induction motor finds extensive applications in agricultural environment for pumping out water from ground wells. In this paper, a scheme is presented by which some additional circuitry when incorporated with the starter does not wait for manual intervention after restoration of normal supply conditions and automatically restarts the motor. The complete circuitry has been built and thoroughly tested in laboratory and also in the field for various power supply conditions. The cost involved in incorporating the modification is quite low and justifiable.
