COMMON SENSE APPROACH TO LIGHTING FOR CRT AREAS.

Some views are expressed on office lighting in areas containing CRTs. The advantages of indirect lighting are pointed out. Walls should be painted or covered with vinyl, fabric, or carpeting (made for this purpose) with loow low reflectance values. All desks or work surfaces should be matte, or low-glare, nonreflective surfaces. Sharp contrasts in colors and reflective surfaces must be avoided to minimize visual irritation. Filters, vertical blinds and other types of curtains control, filter and direct sunlight.
