A method of calculating the cooling of an underground pipeline transporting paraffinic oil is proposed which employs a conformal mapping technique. In this case the heat of crystallization of the paraffin is regarded as an additional specific heat of the oil, while the heat transfer coefficient is calculated using linear differential equations.
