In the review of the foreign and Soviet literature presented, consideration is given to the ultramicroanalysis of small samples, the reproducibility and accuracy of photometric methods of determining contaminants in particularly-pure materials, spectrophotometric methods of analyzing pure materials, amperometric titration of small quantities of certain elements, the use of dithiocarbamic acid in analysis, the use of solid electrodes in electrochemical methods of determining small concentrations of elements. A survey is made of developments in radiochemical methods of analysis, electrophoresis of the noble metals, and other topics in analytical chemistry.
