Thermal stability relationships between PMR-15 resin and its composites

摘要
The relationships between the thermooxidative stability of the polyimide matrix polymer PMR-15 and the stability of three Hercules graphite fiber reinforced composites as the matrix material are investigated, particularly the effect of fiber/matrix interfacial bond strength on the isothermal aging weight loss of composites. Results indicate that the three surface treatments produced three significantly different interfacial bond strengths.
