摘要
Susceptibility to the austenitic grain growth in carbon steels increases with rising carbon content in the steel. In steels susceptible to coarse grains, grain growth is uniform, in steels with lesser susceptibility to coarsening the grain remains without any size change up to the critical coarsening temperature. The grain size at which the carbon steels reach maximum formability proportionally increases with decreasing carbon content.
