The properties of plasma arc melted protective and decorative coatings on building composite materials are considered depending on processing and operating conditions. Coatings on concrete objects were produced by surface fusion of a layer of composite materials containing various types of sand and crushed glass. The fusion was carried out at various rates of plasmatron motion relative to the substrate. The optimal regimes assuring high adhesion strength of the coating are determined. The fracture model for composite material coatings is developed and used to calculate the adhesion strength depending on various disperse components of the initial mixture. The morphology of a coating - base material system is studied.
