摘要
Recent developments in the field of high-frequency induction melting have prompted many questions concerning the relative merits of solid state power converters and motor-generators. This article describes how the switch from oil-fired crucibles has worked out for the Meloon Foundries, Inc. , at Syracuse, New York. Computer control of production has been another important factor in the foundry's progress.
