摘要：
The concept of 'machine tool efficiency' is discussed from the standpoint of energy consumption. Ways of optimizing the machining process are considered, and some energy-saving design solutions for machine tools are proposed. The effect of the lubrication technique on energy losses in machine tool driving systems is demonstrated.
