The effect of the microwaves on the extraction kinetics and equilibrium is studied with three different solid-liquid extraction systems. The obtained diffusivity coefficients, total amount and maximum degree of extraction are compared with the results of the conventional extraction technique in a stirred vessel. The total amount of extracted species increases, in the case of solid phase preexposed to MW this effect passes through a maximum, depending on the time of exposure. The effect of the microwaves on the obtained diffusion coefficients is smaller and depends on the nature of the solid.
