During the Summer of 1994, a survey was conducted to evaluate the use of statistical process control (SPC), related quality techniques, and several topics in productivity improvement in the Austin - San Antonio corridor. A total of 288 questions was mailed to 288 companies obtained from the Chamber of Commerce information of cities of Austin, San Antonio, Seguin, New Braunfels, and San Marcos. Survey results were found to be generally encouraging.
