摘要
An algorithm for estimating the impulse response of a process by cross-correlation method is obtained. Guidelines for matching the dynamic characteristic of the process (rise time, settling time) with the parameters of the test signal are given. A comparison between the cross-correlation method and the average step response method has been done with the same measuring time and noise level. It has been concluded that when the process is highly contaminated with noise and the average step response method provides unsatisfactory accuracy in a reasonable time, the cross-correlation method is performed with the help of the information obtained from the average step response method.
