摘要
The Office of Research, Federal Highway Administration, has developed a new pavement design procedure - based on a mechanistic structural subsystem - which may be used for any paving materials, axle loads, or environmental conditions. This procedure is similar to those used to design bridges and buildings. A given design is evaluated by determining its structural response to expected loading and environmental conditions.
