摘要
The following stress sources were contributory to bending. (1) Vacancy injection into the iron substrate while a considerable number of vacancy sinks are available and (2) Volume changes accompanying phase boundary reactions at the hematite/magnetite and magnetite/wustite interfaces. Oxidation in carbon dioxide did not create sufficient stress to bend fully annealed specimens for periods up to 300 min at 800 degree C.
