VERSATILE CALCULATOR PROGRAM EASES PIPING DESIGN.

The laborious calculations and tedious charts and nomographs once associated with pipe sizing have given way in recent years to streamlined computations via card-programmable calculators. With their increasing sophistication, these calculators have proved more convenient for line sizing than any other tool available, including large main-frame computers. This program is applicable for both laminar and turbulent flow; it predicts any one of the following variables if the other two are known: pressure drop, flowrate, and piping diameter. Examples of the program application are given.
