摘要：

The paper presents a study of forced and undamped vibrations of an elastic shaft supported on elastic bearings. The excitation force is considered to be the machining force. The considered model corresponds to a main machine-tool shaft during processing. The equations of motion are analytically determined using the modal method. There are studied the natural frequencies and the resonance ranges, for a numerical example.
