Hydrodynamic formulations of the problem of flow of a real liquid in a centrifugal atomizers, proposed by various authors, are criticized. The theory of centrifugal atomizers for liquids (in a hydraulic formulation) taking account of friction against the walls of the swirl chamber, is reaffirmed.
