Condensers take heat out of a refrigeration system, either by throwing the heat away or by finding some useful work for that heat to do, such as hot gas defrosting. For defrosting, an evaporator is converted to a condenser for a short period of time to remove frost from the evaporator surface. A refrigeration system that will operate better and with lower costs when the proper condenser is used is presented.
