Plasma jet of a MPD accelerator operating continuously was investigated by cylindrical Langmuir probes. The radial and axial distribution of several parameters are determined. A comparison of the mass flow through a cross section of the jet, calculated from the measured values, with the applied mass flow rate shows good agreement.
