Based on optimization techniques, a method is suggested for the simultaneous determination of the sorbent adsorption space volume, parameter of distribution function of the characteristic energy of adsorption, and exponent in the Dubinin-Astakhov adsorption isotherm equation. Results obtained on the equilibrium adsorption of a number of organic substances from water solutions on the active carbon KAD are analyzed. It proved possible to approximate experimental data by the equations of the theory of volume filling of pores with a high degree of accuracy.
