One of the cooling towers in Poland was very much destroyed due to poor construction and aggressive environment. On the base of the examined structure state extensive numerical analysis (based on FEM and partial safety factors concept) was performed taking into account various stages of repair and strengthening. On this base a method of repair and strengthening was chosen and elaborated in detail.
