摘要
The use of magnesium in removing the silica in precipitation softeners is discussed. The form of magnesium used is important for high efficiency, particularly where high silica concentrations are found. There are three major differences between the chemistry of recirculating water and makeup water that have an impact on the softening process: temperature, concentration, and composition.
