摘要
The recrystallization textures of high purity aluminum containing 0. 04 and 0. 16% Fe were determined. The content of Fe in solid solution was varied by preannealing at different temperatures. In addition to cube and R textures, some additional textures connected with the rolling texture by a 40 degree 111 orientation relationship were observed. In systematic investigations of the fraction of cube and R orientations as a function of preannealing and recrystallization temperatures it was found that the cube texture dominated if the content of iron in solution present during the recrystallization anneal was small, and that a high solute iron content led to the domination of the R texture. It is suggested that this may be caused by a strong reduction in growth rate of the cube grains due to Fe in solution.
