摘要：
This article descirbes the systems used at present to multiplex telegraph channels onto an audio bearer and the methods by which this has previously been achieved. A fuller description of the latest designs of frequency-shift multiplex equipment is given, leading to a conclusion which indicates the direction that future develoments might take.
