A discussion is presented of operating procedures and programming for the automation of design and manufacturing of formed sheet metal parts. The primary purpose is to examine the design procedure, programming and N/C data preparation used on an existing 3-D graphics system. The process relies on the accuracy, reliability, and speed of CAD/CAM.
