Transfer function analysis of diffused planar optical waveguide

摘要
A new numerical method known as transfer function method for analyzing and calculating optical waveguides was presented. The characteristics of propagation for diffused planar optical waveguides were calculated compared with that obtained by finite element method. The results show that it is a relatively simple and precise method to use transfer function for the optical waveguides with graded refractive index profile.
