摘要
This British Standard describes the determinations to be made on the analysis sample of coal in order to obtain its proximate analysis, namely, moisture, volatile matter and ash; fixed carbon is obtained by difference. Metric units are used throughout specifications. The direct gravimetric method for determination is applied. The alternate method is by drying in nitrogen, in a furnace.
