摘要
The personal exposure of cyclists in London to particulate matter below 5 μm in diameter (PM5) was assessed by computer controlled scanning electron microscopy (CCSEM) and energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDAX). CCSEM and EDAX provided an excellent tool for the characterization of urban particulate matter and the identification of possible emission sources. These techniques provided information on size distribution, number concentration, shape and elemental composition of particles greater than 0.2 μm, all of which indicated serious health implications.
