Dynamics and increased durability of two-roll gear stands of rolling mills

摘要
To search for the ways to increase the durability of components of gear stands, a model was developed to analyze the forming of dynamic loads in these stands. The works conducted gave the opportunity to reveal the main factors, affecting the process of loading the gear stand. The gear stand 1300 was considered as an example. In particular, it is considered how the upper working roll is loaded with torque. Dissipative properties of the system investigated are determined by dissipating energy in the line of the drive and also by friction in bearings and in the engagement. Several measures are proposed to increase the reliability of stands of rolling mills.
