A simple method for measuring the gas holdup in two-phase flows

摘要：
A simple and reliable method for measuring the local gas holdup in turbulent and highly turbulent churn flows is proposed. The method is also used to determine the local gas holdup in different locations inside and impinging-stream reactor aerated from the bottom. Comparison of the mean values of the gas holdup obtained by the proposed method and the height difference method are satisfactory.
