摘要：
The application of solid-state equipment and techniques for motor drives is discussed. It is reported that such drives are more capable, more flexible, and more economical than ever before. Other kinds of power supplies and power conditioners have benefited similarly from the same equipment and techniques. The present state of the technology is examined.
