The ammoniacal MAR process has been applied to the recovery of valuable metal components from electroplating sludge as a model for other complex raw materials. The paper describes process flowsheet and separating effects. The cost structure of the process has been investigated for the centralized treatment of electroplating sludge in Sweden.
