A review of the development of the Polak pressure die casting machine systems is given. A description is given of the cold injection chambers, with direct pressure and/or mold locking systems. Advantages of new hot-chamber casting machines are pointed out. The process of magnesium alloys in both cold and hot chambers is evaluated. ? . 16 Refs.
