摘要：
The application of mathematical models to the design of adsorption systems as a method of purifying wastewaters is considered. The design of batch, fixed-bed, pulsed-bed, moving-bed and fluidized-bed systems for effluent treatment is discussed. A brief review of the wide range of industrial effluents and adsorbents that may be utilized in such systems is considered. Reactivation procedures are presented and the principles of minimizing design costs by optimizing design are given.
