摘要
It is demonstrated that precision cutting, which offers a clean surface of the cutoff-zone requiring practically no after-treatment, can only be achieved by the interaction of proper tool design and favorable material properties. The correlation between the material characteristics and the tool cutting quality has been established. The problem of identifying the phenomena occurring in precision cutting by using appropriate test methods is examined.
