Influence of taking account of secondary plastic deformations on the solution of the axisymmetric thermoplasticity problem

Solution of the axisymmetric thermoplasticity problem is outlined, taking account of unloading and the application of a load of opposite sign to elements of the body, under the following model concepts regarding the behavior of the material: elastic unloading, isotropic strengthening, and ideal Bauschinger effect. The difference in the calculation results is shown for a specific example. The finite-element method is used to solve the variational heat-conduction problem and the problem of determining the stress-strain state. As an example, the stress-strain state of a thick-walled cylinder is investigated.
