Nuclear Power Plant Developments with Thermal Reactors.

The author outlines the perspectives of nuclear engineering and reports the experience gained in constructing and operating gas-cooled reactors, heavy and light water reactors dealing with corrosion problems in the steam generators of PWRs and in the pressure tubes of PHWRs, standardization of PWRs, full power test of reactor coolant pumps and in-service inspection of reactor pressure vessels.
