摘要
This paper outlines an approach to information Technology planning which is directly linked to the objectives and strategies of the subject enerprise. It defines a set of prime management strategies for IT from which a selection must be made for sub-sets of the enterprise. These choices lead to the further selection of support strategies for IT and these, in turn, help determine the essential functionality of applications and their relative priorities. The paper includes a planning technique which will help to ensure that the application development process does not lose sight of these identified business needs.
