摘要
On the basis of studies of the removal of nitrogen oxides from weakly reducing sulfur-containing waste gases over catalysts at high temperatures, a large-scale plant for the reduction of Soviet natural gas of quality H to L quality through the admixture of waste gas was constructed at Gernsheim. This plant has attained up to now a value of approximately equals 11,000 Bh and could maintain the desired limiting value of less than 0. 2 vol-ppm NO//x in the conditioned gas with the aid of noble metal catalysts, thus avoiding the formation of resin from NO//2. Plans are afoot to introduce a new burner, which can directly generate waste gases with less than 2 vol-ppm NO//x, for reducing the calorific value of natural gas by the admixture of waste gas.
