摘要
When ceramics are used as construction materials, it is necessary to have data available on their behavior under variable dynamic loading, for example, vibration. Data in the literature on the fatigue strength are scanty and difficult to compare since the fatigue of ceramic materials depends not only on their properties but also on the test methods used. This work studied the change in the bending strength of ceramics made of alumina stabilized with zirconium dioxide and also forsterite as a function of vibration loading schedule in the frequency range 50-2,000 cycles/sec.
