摘要
An iterative procedure for maximizing a finite sum of positive functions is described which may be used in a wide variety of problems. The applicability of this algorithm depends on the form of the positive functions. Roughly speaking, the computation is efficient in case of exponential - or product functions. The algorithm converges monotonously to some possibly local maximum and may be used also in a discrete case.
