摘要
The factors influencing the wear process in main frequency coreless induction furnaces are reviewed. Sealing of the refractory living by the sintering charge and avoidance of initial infiltrations is shown to lead to an improved and more uniform crucible service life. The effects of the melting process in slag formation and on molten cast iron quality are examined. Some operational results concerning crucible service lives are presented.
