In the context of recovered paper recycling the significance of deinked pulp for the production of white paper grades (graphic paper and hygienic paper) is further increasing. The quality of deinked pulp is significantly affected by the chemical and hydrodynamic regime of the flotation deinking process. This overview deals with the role of the different inorganic and organic deinking agents with special reference to the indispensable surfactants.
