摘要：
Turbidity as a measure of suspended sediments is an important water quality parameter. In this paper expressions were developed for different types of suspended materials relating the turbidity with suspended solids concentration and some of the characteristics of suspended materials such as specific gravity and particle sizes. Such expressions developed can conveniently be used for estimating the suspended solids concentration by measuring the turbidity which is simple, rapid and inexpensive method.
