EFFECT OF AMBIENT AIR TEMPERATURE ON PERFORMANCE OF VACUUM TUBE SOLAR WATER HEATER.

摘要
A system composed of a 12 vacuum tubes solar water heater, a helical heat exchanger and a tank is tested in Solar Energy Laboratory of the National Research Centre in Egypt. During the test, solar intensity, temperatures of ambient air, inlet and outlet water flow through the heater and that of different levels in the tank are recorded. The flow rate of the water through the collector is also recorded. Tables and figures are given to explain the performance of the solar water heater. Empirical equations are deduced which show the effect of ambient air temperature on the overall heat losses and the efficiency of the vacuum tube solar water heater.
