摘要：

The measurement value for welding current intensity and arc voltage that is most appropriate for calculating the heat input, having regard to the actual heating effect of the arc in gas-shielded metal-arc welding, is determined. After describing the measurement method the measurement results are discussed, including the connection between the arithmetic value and root-mean-square value (effective value), as well as between the measurement values of the welding current intensity and cooling time.
